Gas removal, filtration and launder line solutions for aluminium metal prior to casting. Ensure billet and ingot quality before casting.
Dissolved hydrogen level is reduced to <0.10 ml/100g Al with a rotary degasser. Porosity rate after casting is minimised.
Oxide films and non-metallic inclusions are captured with a 30–50 ppi CFF filter. Clean metal enters casting, billet quality improves.
Operates integrated with GUMEN melting furnace and VDC casting machine on the same PLC system. The entire line from melting furnace to VDC is under control.
Quick-change filter box design. Degasser rotor serviced on-site with standard spare parts. Minimal risk of unplanned downtime.
Aluminium metal leaving the melting furnace is not yet ready for casting. Dissolved hydrogen gas and oxide particles cause porosity, cracking and segregation problems in the billet after casting. Degassing and filtration eliminate these problems before casting.
Every point of metal flow from the melting furnace to the VDC machine is under control. Gumen Group designs and manufactures inline degassing units, ceramic foam filter boxes and launder lines as integral parts of the casting line.
Liquid aluminium absorbs hydrogen gas from the air during melting. This gas becomes trapped inside the metal during solidification and forms microscopic porosity. If the cast billet has porosity, surface defects and mechanical weakness during extrusion or forging are inevitable. With inline rotary degassing, hydrogen levels can be reduced to <0.10 ml/100g Al.
