Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) system for traction motors and large wound equipment. Void-free insulation with 0.7 mbar deep vacuum and 10 bar pressure. Turnkey plant solution.
Air is evacuated at the molecular level with 0.7 mbar deep vacuum; resin is forced into the smallest capillary voids under 10 bar pressure. Windings achieve a 'block marble' hardness structure.
Autoclave with Ø3,000 mm inner diameter and 6-tonne loading capacity; processes large traction motors and wound equipment in a single cycle. Daily capacity of 4 traction motors.
Siemens / Schneider-based PLC and HMI panel; stores process recipes and ensures a repeatable cycle every time. Pressure, temperature and vacuum are monitored in real time.
AISI 304L stainless steel body, PED 2014/68/EU compliant design and Notified Body approval. Silicone varnish prevents chemical reactions, providing long-lasting corrosion resistance.
The VPI plant consists of three main machine groups: the Main Autoclave, the Solution Storage & Conditioning Unit, and the Vacuum/Pressure System. Each component operates in an integrated manner through the PLC automation layer.
Each cycle is managed by the PLC; process parameters are automatically recorded and reported.
Traction motors or wound equipment are placed in the autoclave. The lid is sealed hermetically.
The vacuum pump reduces pressure to 0.7 mbar, evacuating air and moisture from the windings at the molecular level.
Heated silicone varnish is transferred to the autoclave at low viscosity; it penetrates the windings under vacuum.
Nitrogen or compressor pressure mechanically forces resin into the smallest capillary voids. Full penetration is achieved.
Excess resin is returned to the storage tank. System pressure is controlled down, parts are unloaded.
Chemical cross-linking is completed in the oven. Windings achieve a hard, void-free and hermetic structure.
