High-capacity bogie hearth batch furnaces for annealing, normalizing, stress relief and pre-heating of steel and alloy steel components.
The bogie hearth design allows loading by forklift or crane. Wide capacity range from 1 tonne to 100+ tonnes.
From 200°C up to 1250°C. Stress relief, annealing, normalizing and pre-heating all possible in a single furnace.
PLC temperature logging and heat treatment certificate generated automatically for each charge. Compliant with EN, ASTM and customer standards.
Fuel consumption is significantly reduced by recovering flue gas heat. Recommended for high-capacity projects.
Bogie hearth furnaces are the most widely used batch furnace type for heat treatment of large and heavy steel components. The charge is loaded onto the bogie outside the furnace; the bogie is pushed into the furnace, the door is closed and the heat treatment programme begins.
GUMEN manufactures bogie hearth furnaces with capacities between 1 tonne and 100+ tonnes. Gas or electrically heated, refractory-lined, PLC-controlled systems serve the casting industry, steel processing plants and general manufacturing sectors.
Full Annealing: Stress relief and hardness reduction after cold forming.
Normalizing: Grain refinement and homogenisation.
Stress Relief: Removal of post-weld or manufacturing stresses.
Pre-heating: Pre-treatment heating of large-section castings or forgings.
